A Look at Our 2026 International Women’s Day Celebration

This week, our Harriman Material Handling crew came together for a meaningful and energizing celebration in honor of International Women’s Day. Hope Center Indy joined us on site and shared powerful insight into the work they do in our community. Their mission and message set the tone for a day focused on learning, kindness, and teamwork.

Our team showed up ready to engage, ready to connect, and ready to make an impact.

What is International Women’s Day?

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global celebration of women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, marked annually on March 8th. It is a day that not only celebrates women’s accomplishments but also serves as a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Across the world, significant activity is witnessed as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements, rally for women’s equality, and advocate for positive change. Celebrating International Women’s Day Through Learning

To honor the contributions women have made throughout history, our team took part in a lively and competitive round of Women’s History Jeopardy. The game sparked teamwork, laughter, and plenty of friendly rivalry as everyone tested their knowledge of groundbreaking women and the milestones that shaped our nation.

We walked away inspired by the pioneers who cleared the path and by the women who continue to lead, innovate, and strengthen our world today.

A Session Rooted in Community and Service

From the moment the session began, the room carried a strong sense of unity. Hope Center Indy walked us through the programs they lead and the people they support, highlighting the real challenges many women face and the transformational opportunities that come from offering hope, guidance, and stability.

Their visit reminded us why service matters and why Give to Gain is such an important part of who we are at Harriman Material Handling.

Keeping the Momentum Going

International Women’s Day is a global celebration, but for us, it is also a moment to come together, learn something new, and focus on the kind of workplace culture we want to build. Kindness and service do not happen by accident. They happen when people commit to showing up for one another.

We are proud of our Harriman Material Handling crew for the enthusiasm they brought to this year’s celebration and proud of the work ahead. Together, we will continue to support our community, honor the achievements of women, and uplift one another throughout the year.

Choosing Our 2026 Give to Gain Volunteer Project

After the learning and laughter wrapped up, our team shifted into planning mode. Together, we began selecting our volunteer project for this year’s Give to Gain initiative. The ideas were thoughtful, purposeful, and focused on supporting those who need it most. As always, our crew looked for the most meaningful way to put Harriman Material Handling’s values into action.

This step in the process reflects something we take seriously. Service is one of our core values, and choosing the right project helps ensure our impact is real and long lasting.
